‘The Briery’
St Aidan’s Roman Catholic School

Brims Construction was appointed Principal Contractor in September 2009 for the construction of a new modern extension to ‘The Briery’ at St Aidan’s Roman Catholic School in Ashbrooke, Sunderland. The new extension now provides the 6th Form educational facilities for 16 to 18 year olds and is located on their Ashbrooke Road site within the Ashbrooke Conservation Area. A contemporary extension was constructed to provide new entrance and circulation spaces as well as extra classrooms. A full external works scheme around the new building was also carried out including, drainage, as well as soft and hard landscaping.
