Brims Construction was appointed by the Longhirst Group in 2010 to undertake a full bedroom refurbishment, creation of a new Decoro Health Spa and the refurbishment of the hotel’s Collingwood Bar. The works at the 4-star, 77-bedroom Longhirst Hall formed part of an extensive £6 million refurbishment programme. The stunning old hall was designed by the North East’s most famous architect, John Dobson and built in the 1820’s. The bedroom refurbishment and fit-out programme was undertaken to provide comfortable accommodation with free WIFI access and all modern amenities. The scope of works included removal and installation of new bedroom entrance doors, new bathroom suites including shower cubicles. New scene-setting lighting and controls were installed throughout as well as new heating and water services installations.
