Former Council HQ Transformed by Brims

BRIMS Construction has completed work on a new Hotel Indigo in Durham City following a detailed, year-long upgrade and conversion of the Grade II Old Shire Hall.

Formerly the home of Durham County Council the 120-year-old building has been transformed into a four-star, 83-bedroom Hotel Indigo, featuring an 88-cover Marco Pierre White Steakhouse, Bar and Grill and Tinderbox Espresso Emporium.

The Brick This Studio had managed to raise £2,085 of its £3,000 target before Sunderland’s Brims Construction stepped in to donate the remaining third of the money after reading about the project in The Journal newspaper.
