The Ropery Care Facility

Brims Construction was appointed in July 2012 as Principal Contractor for the design and construction of the state-of-the-art purpose built Residential Care Facility for 30 people, comprising assisted living, independent living and an activity / day care centre (MORE Centre). The new Ropery development consists of five buildings with central parking area and an extensive landscaping scheme. All buildings are two storeys and are of similar construction in that all have beam and block ground floors, precast concrete first floors and brick/block cavity walls with timber truss roofs. Building two differs slightly in construction in that the Hall is of steel frame construction in order to achieve larger spans required for this area.
