Brims Construction was appointed by the University of Sunderland to undertake the refurbishment of the current Student Gateways at City Campus, aimed at realigning and improving the Gateway service across the university. The works comprised an enquiries reception, improved career services, social learning spaces, refurbished toilet facilities and a corporate reception for external visitors to the University. A new entrance lobby was constructed to encourage use of the building from the wider University Campus. The refurbishment has improved student facilities such as a staffed Help Point and digital kiosks with a variety of self-serve capabilities.
