Brims Construction was appointed by Newcastle University in July 2015 to undertake the construction of The Key, a new innovative work space building located at the Science Central site in Newcastle. The works comprised the construction of a new build work space building with a twin skin insulated tensile fabric roof complete with associated external works and drainage. We worked closely with specialist subcontractor Architen Landrell Associates with regard to the coordination and installation of the bespoke fabric roof. Externally, areas of hard and soft landscaping were required along with an external plant compound and below ground drainage.
