Brims Construction were appointed to complete the refurbishment of an existing industrial unit, which was vacant since late 2022.
Proposed works involved the removal of an existing entry canopy to the main elevation, an entire re-clad of the north and south façades including new PPC double glazed ribbon windows, high level re-cladding to the east and west façades with a redecoration of facing brickwork at low level along with the redecoration of existing full height cladding to the south façade. Minor modifications to entry/exit points with replacement doors and roller shutters.
New M&E services installations to suit the modified plan layout and resurfacing of concrete hardstanding to south of the unit with a new boundary fence to the east and western boundaries.
Delivered on time and within budget, the project revitalised a dormant industrial unit into a vibrant, branded space. The facility now supports Barbour’s creative production, retail presentation, and heritage storytelling, while providing a high-quality environment for staff and visitors.
