Nepia House Offices

NEPIA House is an existing 3-storey landmark office building occupying a prominent position on Newcastle’s Quayside, adjacent to public buildings and leisure areas. Brims Construction was appointed as Principal Contractor on this Design & Build scheme to undertake major structural alterations and refurbishment works to increase the office space from 30,000 ft2 to 40,000 ft2 whilst improving the overall building presence. The initial works comprised the removal of the existing roof structure and creation of a new fourth  floor with a steel framed construction and glazed curtain walling. The existing pitched roof was replaced with a flat single ply covered roof over the new fourth floor office area which was fitted out to a high specification for senior managers and directors of the company. A four storey extension to the west of the building was also constructed with an atrium to create new double height entrance space.
