Brims Construction were successfully appointed to deliver the construction of 30nr houses on behalf of Bede Homes at Gullane Close in Bill Quay. The scheme involved the construction of 30nr high quality detached properties with associated gardens and access routes on land off Gullane Close, Bill Quay, Gateshead. The site is located in a very popular area of Bill Quay, known as Gateshead’s hidden gem of a community, being immediate neighbours of the bustling city of Newcastle. The development has lots of open spaces, a river, local pubs, restaurants, shops and schools nearby
The units are a mix of accommodation types with all units being detached, providing 1no 2 bed bungalow, 11no 3 bed houses and 18no 4 bed houses. The project also includes the installation of all roads and sewers, including foul and surface water drainage, street lighting and hard and soft landscaping.
The site is in a well-established residential area and close to Bill Quay Primary School, this required careful consideration when it came to programming deliveries and traffic management.
The scheme was acknowledged at the LABC The Bricks Site Recognition awards and received the ‘Quality Assured and Confidence for Customers’ accolade. Commenting on the award our client said:
