Cheviot House Refurbishment


Bernicia Group appointed Brims Construction to carry out refurbishment works to their existing Office Space at Cheviot House, Kingston Park, Newcastle. The works were carried out in a live office environment, which required careful programming and sequencing to ensure minimal disruption to Bernicia’s employees and anyone visiting throughout the duration of the works.

The Cheviot House Office refurbishment works included: Alterations to internal walls, partitions, and folding partitions, removal of existing suspended ceiling tiles and grid replacing with new. Removal of existing wallpapers, ceramic tiles and making good existing decoration. Removal of existing carpet tiles, barrier matting, tiled flooring and replace with new. Refurbishment to stairs and atrium features. Redecoration of skirting, woodwork, Installation of new glazed screens & doors. Electrical works including update of general power/data, replacing all lighting installations, access control, CCTV, intruder alarms, fire alarms, disability assistance and testing/ commissioning of all electrical works. Mechanical works including new heating installation throughout the building (radiators), installation of extract fans/ducting and above ground drainage.
