Low Fell Health Centre
Value: £0.59 million | Completed: April 2011
The client brief was to refurbish the existing clinic and provide new modern facilities for the Trust within the footprint of the existing building.
The refurbishment works included new mechanical and electrical fit out works including condensing boilers, solar panels, low surface temperature radiators, new lighting, power systems and CCTV equipment.
Internally the building was completely reconfigured requiring new partitions, ceilings, washroom systems, consultation room furniture, installation of new skylights, internal decoration, internal doors and ironmongery and internal floor finishes throughout.
Externally the works involved new soft landscaping, paving, entrance ramp, new car park surfacing and installation of street furniture.
All works and deliveries had to be co-ordinated to ensure that residents within the surrounding area were not inconvenienced and to avoid disturbance whilst construction was on-going.
